ANAHEIM -- The Angels have found their pitching coach under manager Ron Washington, as they hired Barry Enright to the position on Tuesday. Additionally, the club announced it is hiring Tim Laker as its offensive coordinator.

Enright, 37, joins the Angels after serving as assistant pitching coach for the D-backs the past two seasons, working alongside highly regarded pitching coach Brent Strom. Enright previously worked in Arizona’s Minor League system from 2019-21.

Enright pitched in the Majors for four seasons, including parts of two seasons with the Angels from 2012-13. He also attended college locally at Pepperdine University.

Laker, 53, joins the Angels after a stint as the Minor League hitting coordinator with the Dodgers. Laker, who attended Simi Valley High School, was the hitting coach for the Mariners from 2019-21 and assistant hitting coach for the D-backs from 2017-18.

As the offensive coordinator, Laker will work with new hitting coach Johnny Washington. Washington, 39, is a Long Beach, Calif., native who also served as hitting coach for the Padres from 2017-19. He's not related to Ron Washington and replaces Marcus Thames, who left to join the White Sox.

The Angels still need to hire a bench coach and an assistant pitching coach. Former Astros manager Bo Porter was recently hired as first-base coach, while former Rangers and Reds manager Jerry Narron was named catching coach.
