The Angels announced outfielder will undergo surgery Tuesday for a bilateral core muscle injury. Dr. William Myers will perform the surgery in Philadelphia.

The estimated recovery time is six to eight weeks. Calhoun will begin his normal offseason training regime when he is back to full strength.
