Tyler Bremner has only been in pro ball for one season. He's been at Double-A for less than two months. But on Tuesday, he pitched in the playoffs like a seasoned veteran.
MLB’s No. 43 prospect posted five zeros for Double-A Rocket City, striking out seven while allowing just two hits and two walks in an eventual 7-0 loss to Biloxi at Toyota Field in Game 2 of the Southern League Finals. Bremner generated 13 swings-and-misses on the night after twirling five innings of two-run ball in the semifinals against Knoxville.

The 2025 No. 2 overall pick posted a 4.33 ERA between High-A Tri-City and Rocket City. Bremner shot out of the gate in April with a 1.08 ERA and 25 strikeouts over 16 2/3 innings.
While the Angels’ No. 2 prospect rode the ebbs and flows in his introduction to pro ball, Bremner earned the nod to represent the Angels in July at the All-Star Futures Game, where he recorded the final out of a 6-1 win for the American League.

The right-hander sports a three-pitch mix that features a pair of plus weapons (65-grade fastball, changeup). Headlining his debut campaign was his ability to miss bats -- he notched 100 strikeouts in 72 2/3 innings. Bremner left no doubt about that strength to attack hitters with a 12.4 K/9 percentage across the two levels.
Los Angeles’ top pitching prospect did not throw after the Draft in 2025. The UC Santa Barbara product made 50 appearances in college, posting a 3.58 ERA and an even 12.0 K/9. The skill set paved his way to the Minors, where he was able to stay true his identity and pitch with power in his pro debut.
