The Rangers signed Gose as a Minor League free agent on Dec. 4, only to have the Astros take him 10 days later in the Rule 5 Draft. Texas will continue to try and develop him as a pitcher.

The Rangers also made their first roster cuts of the spring Friday. Pitchers Jonathan Hernandez, Jeffrey Springs, Brett Martin and Ariel Jurado, infielder Andy Ibanez and outfielder Jose Cardona were sent to the Minor Leagues.
