Free tix offer for fans vaccinated at Coliseum

June 12th, 2021

OAKLAND -- The A’s are giving fans a chance to receive free tickets in exchange for receiving a COVID-19 vaccine at the Coliseum.

Starting with their three-game series opener against the Angels on Monday, the A’s will be making COVID-19 vaccines available to all fans attending games at the Coliseum. The plan is part of MLB’s “Vaccinate At The Plate” initiative. All fans who receive a vaccine will be given a voucher for two tickets to either that day’s game or an upcoming home game.

No appointment is needed. The vaccination clinic hosted by Clayworth Pharmacy will be set up in the Coliseum’s Eastside Club and will operate from an hour and a half before first pitch through the fifth inning. Fans who do not have a ticket for that day’s game can enter the clinic via the BART ramp.

“The Coliseum has served as a Vaccination Center since February, and we are thrilled to continue to extend this community benefit at our games starting next week with our partners at Kaiser Permanente and Clayworth Pharmacy,” A’s president Dave Kaval said. “We will host our vaccination clinic at all home games until there is no longer a need in our community. We encourage baseball fans to head to the Coliseum to receive a vaccine and then join us for a great day of A’s baseball.”

Vaccinations are free of charge, and insurance is not required. Fans will have the option to choose either the Johnson & Johnson shot or Pfizer vaccine. The first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine are available to individuals 12 and over, while those 18 and older are eligible for the single-dose Johnson & Johnson.
