WEST SACRAMENTO -- The Athletics will pay homage to their new home base with the addition of an alternate uniform.
On the final day of their inaugural season at Sutter Health Park on Sunday, the A’s revealed a new alternate gold jersey for 2026 featuring “Sacramento” in green script across the chest and a green A’s logo on the left sleeve.
Similarly designed to their current gold jerseys, which feature green “A’s” chest insignia, the updated golds will provide a second alternate uniform along with the kelly green jerseys to accompany the traditional home whites and road grays.
“Sacramento has welcomed the Athletics with incredible passion and support,” said A’s President Marc Badain. “The new ‘Sacramento’ jersey is our way of recognizing that support and saying thank you to the fans, businesses and community leaders who helped bring Major League Baseball to town.”
Fans in attendance for Friday night’s game against the Royals received a special green crewneck sweater featuring the same “Sacramento” lettering that will adorn the new jerseys.
The A’s plan to wear the new jerseys for every Saturday home game next season as part of “Sacramento Saturdays” at Sutter Health Park. Players will also have the option to wear them on other days of the week at home or on the road.
To kick off the celebration, all fans attending the April 4, 2026, game against the Astros will receive a replica jersey. The jersey will also be available for fans to purchase in the team store and online as part of the official A’s apparel lineup.
The A’s commemorated their first season in the state’s capitol region, which they plan to continue calling home for at least the next two seasons before a planned move to Las Vegas in 2028, by wearing a sleeve patch featuring a depiction of the iconic Tower Bridge located behind Sutter Health Park in right field and the word “Sacramento” in script on each of their jerseys throughout the ‘25 campaign.
“It’s been an unforgettable first season in West Sacramento,” Badain said. “This uniform is another way to celebrate the passion we’ve already felt throughout the community.”
