With help, Kemp could be NL starting OF

ATLANTA -- Braves outfielder Matt Kemp remains in position possibly to gain the honor to serve as one of the National League's starting outfielders during this year's All-Star Game.
When the latest Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot update was released Monday, Kemp still ranked fifth among outfielders, but he was within 100,000 votes of , who ranks third and thus would garner that final outfield starting spot if the voting ended today.
The other Braves listed as leaders within this NL update were , who ranks fourth among second basemen and the injured Freddie Freeman, who ranks fourth among first basemen.
leads NL outfielders with 1,459,235 votes and Charlie Blackmon ranks second with 979,961 votes. The next top three vote-getters in this category are Heyward (737,147 votes), (678,795) and Kemp (641,728).
Among NL outfielders, Kemp ranks second with a .326 batting average, sixth with a .910 OPS and eighth with 138 Weighted Runs Created Plus.
