WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Athletics reinstated shortstop from the injured list and placed designated hitter on the 10-day IL retroactive to June 9 with a bone bruise in his left knee, the club announced today.

Wilson was batting .292 with three home runs, 19 RBI and a .709 OPS in 39 games when he was placed on the 10-day IL May 12 retroactive to May 11 with a left shoulder subluxation. He began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Las Vegas last Saturday and went 2-for-12 (.167) with a double, two walks and a hit by pitch in four games. Wilson has a 79-game errorless streak, which is an Athletics record for a shortstop.

Rooker goes on the IL for the second time this year as he was previously out from April 10 to 25 with a strained right oblique. He hit .216 with eight home runs and 21 RBI in 36 games following the oblique injury and is batting .200 with 10 home runs and 29 RBI in 48 games overall.
