Brewers to honor food vouchers all season

Popularity of new concessions leads to long lines at exhibition game

April 1st, 2017

MILWAUKEE -- The Brewers promised fans a smoother experience in the future after a larger than expected crowd for Friday's exhibition game produced long lines at Miller Park's new concession stands.
"Tonight was the first night of our new concessions operations, and we know that the wait time at most stands was very long," team spokesperson Tyler Barnes said. "The primary reason for this is that our day-of-game and last-minute sales accounted for more than half of our total tickets sold for this game, which is unprecedented. We will be better staffed [Saturday] and offer a better concessions experience for everyone in attendance."
A crowd of 15,313 watched the Brewers beat the White Sox, 5-2, on Friday in the first of two exhibitions to finish Spring Training. The Brewers charged $10-$20 for admission, but gave each fan a $10 voucher for concessions, offering a first taste of an operation that underwent a major offseason overhaul in the biggest construction project at Miller Park since it opened in 2001.
Barnes said the Brewers would honor Friday's vouchers at Saturday's Spring Training finale, or at any other home game this season.
