The Kansas City Royals this morning announced Bridget Howard will join their broadcast team and serve as a host and sideline reporter on Royals.TV. Her 1st game will be tomorrow night during the Royals broadcast vs. the Rangers at 7:05 p.m. CT.

She will join a crew that returns all of its members from last season, including Ryan Lefebvre and Jake Eisenberg on play-by-play duties, plus analysts Rex Hudler and Jeremy Guthrie. Joel Goldberg and Royals Hall of Famer Jeff Montgomery will continue to host the pre and postgame shows.

“We know that Bridget’s professionalism and energy will only complement an already terrific broadcast team,” Royals President of Business Operations Cullen Maxey said. “She knows our fans because she grew up as one, and she knows Kansas City because she grew up here. Her storytelling talents will be a big help as we continue to grow connections through Royals.TV.”

“Coming home to Kansas City to join the Royals broadcast team is truly a full-circle moment for me,” Howard said. “This is where the dream began, so the opportunity to represent my hometown team means more than I can put into words. I look forward to connecting with Royals fans and helping tell the stories that make this organization and this city so special.”

Howard graduated from Blue Valley High School and attended Kansas State University, where she was a member of the inaugural K-State women’s soccer team in 2016. She began her broadcasting career at K-State, serving as K-State HD.TV’s host and sideline reporter across multiple Wildcat athletic programs featured on ESPN+, Fox Sports Kansas City and more. She earned a degree in Mass Communications with a minor in Leadership Studies.

Howard’s professional broadcast experience includes sideline reporting, play-by-play, studio hosting and digital content creation. She’s currently serving as a sideline reporter for TNT coverage of college football, college basketball and Unrivaled women’s basketball. She is also a play-by-play announcer for the NWSL, Gainbridge Super League and select NCAA conference championships.

Howard is the Host and Producer of “The Rise” podcast, which features interviews with prominent voices across sports and media. Additionally, she spent parts of five years from 2020-24 as a studio host for the Mountain West Network, color analyst for the MW Women’s Soccer Championships and sideline reporter for multiple conference championships, media days, championship halftime shows and football championship pregame coverage.

Her father, David Howard, played in the Majors from 1991-99 for the Royals and Cardinals, while her grandfather, Bruce Howard, had a six-year Major League career from 1963-68 with the White Sox, Orioles and Senators.
