Yankees sweeten pot to vote Didi into ASG

Fans have until Thursday at 4 p.m. ET to vote for Gregorius

NEW YORK -- Didi Gregorius needs your help to attend his first All-Star Game (Tuesday, July 11 at 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX), and the Yankees are dangling some of the most coveted seats in The Bronx as a reward, offering an opportunity to sit in the new "Judge's Chambers" area for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
Gregorius is one of the five candidates for the American League Esurance All-Star Game Final Vote. Until 4 p.m. ET on Thursday, fans can fill out unlimited ballots at http://www.yankees.com/vote or cast up to 35 ballots by texting 'A3' to 89269.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET on Thursday, any Tweet that includes #SirDidi4Sure will count toward his vote total. Fans who vote via text or online and post a screenshot with #SirDidi4Sure will be entered into a drawing to swing a foam gavel before the All-Stars depart for the July 11 Midsummer Classic at Marlins Park.

"It's pretty obvious from the numbers that he's putting up and the type of player that he is, how huge he is to our team," said. "I think he's an All-Star in every form, on and off the field. Great guy. Great competitor. Great teammate. And he puts up the numbers. So vote for 'Sir Didi.'"
The 27-year-old Gregorius, who went 0-for-2 with a pair of walks and a run scored in Monday's 6-3 Yankees win over the Blue Jays, entered Monday batting .310/.333/.489 with 11 doubles, 10 home runs and 36 RBIs in 57 games, having missed the first month of the season while he recovered from a right shoulder strain. He is hitting .327 (17-for-52) against left-handed pitching.

"Both defensively and offensively, he's a guy that has helped our team to put us where we are now," said. "I think he's very deserving. We've got to do the best we can to vote for Didi."
Gregorius hopes to become the sixth Yankees All-Star heading to Miami, joining Betances, , Judge, and .

"You look at the production we've gotten from him this season, I think he's an All-Star," manager Joe Girardi said. "The thing is, there's a lot of places that Didi's been and a lot of languages that he speaks. So we can vote in Dutch, we can vote in Spanish, and Papiamentu and English. Vote any way you can, but just vote for Didi."
The Yankees have partnered with the Rockies, whose Final Vote candidate is slugger , and Gregorius is giving Reynolds an honorary emoji (the mountains). The Yankees on Demand crew is also working on a special video with several of Gregorius' Yankees teammates that should be released in the near future.

Fans can cast ballots for the 2017 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote on MLB.com, Club sites and their mobile devices until 4 p.m. ET on Thursday.
