The Yankees recalled outfielder from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday to be their 26th player for a doubleheader against the Tigers in Detroit. He was in the starting lineup, batting seventh and playing left field, for the first game of the day-night twin bill.
Frazier made an earlier appearance with New York, going 1-for-2 with a double against Kansas City on May 19. The 23-year-old is batting .341 with five home runs and eight RBIs in 22 games in Triple-A since returning from a concussion sustained during Spring Training. He has hit .320 with six home runs and 19 RBIS in a combined 26 games for Class A Advanced Tampa and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Frazier was scratched from the Triple-A lineup on Sunday, indicating that the Yankees would soon call for his promotion for the second time this year.
