DENVER – The Colorado Rockies announced today the coaching staffs for all of their Minor League affiliates for the 2026 season, as well as the club’s player development staff.
At Triple-A Albuquerque, Pedro Lopez will again take the top step for his fourth season as manager and sixth season with the Isotopes overall. Luis Lopez takes over bench coach duties after serving as the Hartford bench coach the past four seasons. Craig Bjornson rejoins the organization as Albuquerque’s pitching coach, joining the Isotopes from Triple-A Gwinnett where he served as their bullpen coach in 2025. Another new addition to the staff is hitting coach Matt Snyder, who most recently served in the same role with Single-A Jersey Shore.
The Double-A Hartford Yard Goats will be led by new manager Robinson Cancel, who spent the past three seasons managing Spokane and led the club to the 2024 Northwest League title. Michael Ryan will serve as bench coach in his 14th season as a Minor League coach after serving as the Isotopes bench coach the last two years. For Jerry Sullivan, it will be his first season as the Yard Goats’ pitching coach after spending the 2025 campaign in the same role with Fresno. Zach Osborne enters his eighth season as a hitting coach in the Rockies system with 2026 being his third year in the role with Hartford.
In his third year with High-A Spokane, Tom Sutaris takes over as manager after spending 2025 as the club’s bench coach. Blaine Beatty returns for his eighth season in the Rockies organization, his 29th season coaching, and his third in his role as a pitching coach with Spokane. The Indians’ bench and hitting coaches will be announced at a later date.
The Single-A Fresno Grizzlies will be headed by manager Cesar Galvez, entering his second season in the role and fourth year overall with Fresno. Dave Keller reprises his role as bench coach in his 39th season overall in professional baseball. Geoff Brown embarks on his first season in his role as pitching coach for the Grizzlies after spending last year as Director of Baseball Operations and Player Development at Seattle University while also serving as the pitching coach for Bend Elks Baseball Club. Greg Jones returns as hitting coach for his second season with Fresno.
The Arizona Complex League will again be led by 2023 ACL Manager of the Year Fred Ocasio. Aaron Muñoz remains on the ACL staff and takes over bench coach duties after serving as hitting coach in 2025. Owen Cuffe joins the Rockies organization as the ACL pitching and rehab coach after serving as the University of Arizona Director of Pitching Development and Recruiting in 2025. The other pitching coach will be Helmis Rodriguez, who returns for his fifth season as a pitching coach with the ACL Rockies. Julio Campos rejoins the staff as a hitting coach, a role he also held in 2024, while MJ Rookard enters his second season with the organization as the club’s other hitting coach.
In the Dominican Summer League, Mauricio Gonzalez will manage one of the two Rockies’ DSL clubs and will oversee all aspects of infield work and fundamentals for both of the DSL clubs and the complex. The other manager will be Eugenio Jose, who is entering his 21st season with the Rockies and his seventh as manager of the Rockies’ second DSL team. Hitting Coach Florentino Nuñez returns for his 19th season with the Rockies and will work with players in all areas of defense, baserunning and hitting. Felix Rosario will also be tasked with hitting coach duties in his seventh season in the role. Sam Deduno rejoins the staff in his same role as a pitching coach for the seventh consecutive season after a professional pitching career that included Major League stints with Colorado (2010), San Diego (2011), Minnesota (2012-14) and Houston (2014-15). Johendí Jiminian reprises his role for a third consecutive season as a DSL pitching coach following a 10-year Minor League playing career, primarily with the Rockies.
