Brewers No. 4 prospect Pratt homers again to continue hot stretch

Cooper Pratt seems to have found his groove.

The Brewers' No. 4 prospect per MLB Pipeline connected for his third home run in his past four games on Wednesday for Triple-A Nashville, and collected his 10th RBI in his past seven games in the Sounds' 10-2 win over Durham at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

The dinger gave the 21-year-old Pratt 14 RBIs this month and gave him 10 RBIs in his past seven games. He's also hitting .302 with a 1.039 OPS over his past 10 games with five multi-hit games and seven extra-base hits.

It's a welcome development for Pratt, who had a rough start to the season -- he had a .700 OPS entering May -- after signing an eight-year, $50.75 million extension at the beginning of April. The recent hot stretch has put that slow start in the rearview mirror, however.

With strong bat-to-ball skills and excellent defense, the 2024 Minor League Gold Glove winner is still on track to make his MLB debut at some point this season. And if he continues the good work at Triple-A, he could be knocking on the door sooner than later.
