Registration open for Cubs postseason tickets

September 7th, 2016

MILWAUKEE -- Fans who want to purchase single-game tickets to potential postseason games at Wrigley Field can register for a random drawing for a potential National League Wild Card Game and NL Division Series games until noon CT on Sept. 21, the team announced on Wednesday.
The Cubs currently lead the NL Central by 15 1/2 games.
Register now for a chance to buy Cubs single-game postseason tickets
Registration will remain open throughout the postseason at www.cubs.com/postseason, with cutoff times for drawings to additional potential series to be announced as the playoffs unfold.
Anyone who registers for the online ticket opportunity will be notified via email if they have been selected for a chance to purchase before single-game tickets go on sale. Those who are randomly selected from all eligible registrants will have a one-time chance to purchase a maximum of four tickets to a potential NL Wild Card Game or NLDS game at Wrigley, pending availability. Tickets will be available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis. Being selected in a drawing does not guarantee the opportunity to purchase tickets to a postseason game.
Colin Faulkner, the Cubs' senior vice president of sales and marketing, said nearly 1.2 million people registered for the opportunity to purchase postseason tickets last year.
The number of potential postseason tickets that may become available is limited as a result of ticket allocations to season-ticket holders and other partners. To provide a purchase opportunity to as many fans as possible, all registered fans who are not selected for early postseason contests will remain eligible for selection if the Cubs advance to subsequent rounds. Fans may only purchase tickets once during the postseason.
The postseason single-game ticket on-sale date and pricing will be announced following the Sept. 21 registration deadline for NL Wild Card Game and NLDS tickets. Single-game ticket buyers are encouraged to pay with MasterCard, the preferred credit card of the Chicago Cubs. Fans may visit www.cubs.com/postseason for more information about potential single-game postseason ticket sales.
