CHICAGO -- Rain delayed the start of Wednesday afternoon's series finale between the Cubs and Brewers at Wrigley Field, and ' chance to revive his home run streak. The first pitch is now expected to take place at approximately 2:15 p.m. CT.
Thames had homered in five straight games before Tuesday, when he still collected three hits, including two doubles. It wasn't enough as the Brewers lost, 9-7, to even the series at one win apiece.
Chicago's (1-1, 5.73 ERA), who led the Major Leagues with a 2.13 ERA last year, was scheduled to start Wednesday against lefty Tommy Milone (1-0, 7.36 ERA).
