PHOENIX -- The D-backs have been one of the most ambitious baserunning teams in the Majors all year, and their aggression on the basepaths paid off again on Wednesday.
Ketel Marte jetted around the bases for an inside-the-park home run during the third inning of the D-backs' 10-3 win over the Braves at Chase Field on Wednesday. 
"After I hit it, I just went 100 percent," Marte said. "I know that I can run, so when I got to second base I looked at the third base coach and he sent me home. It's a long run, but I'll take it."
Marte went 2-for-4 and added a double to dead center in the seventh inning and later scored on a Brandon Drury single.
The infielder's shot was the 14th inside-the-parker in franchise history, and the first since Jean Segura pulled one off against the Cubs on April 7, 2016.
After his line drive to right field took a long bounce of the wall and ricocheted down the foul line, Marte was off to the races.
"They say the triple and the inside-the-park homer are the two plays that never really come up," Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said. "I think it gave us a little boost and a little bit of energy because we scored a couple of runs on one play, and it was an unconventional home run. The guys are always in a great place in the dugout after moments like that." 
It was the third homer of the year for the 23-year-old infielder.
