November 11th, 2019

1. D-backs go back-to-back-to-back to open the game
June 10 at Phillies

First went deep. Then . And finally, . Three batters into the game at Citizens Bank Park, the D-backs were up 3-0. It was just the second time in Major League history that a road team opened the first inning with three straight homers. The D-backs went on to hit eight homers and the two clubs combined for a record 13 in a 13-8 Arizona win.

2. Greinke hits two home runs
April 2 at Padres

took home the Silver Slugger Award for National League pitchers in 2019, and one of the reasons why was games like this where he smacked not one, but two home runs. Greinke hit a three-run homer off Eric Lauer in the fourth and a solo shot against Adam Warren in the sixth to lead the D-backs to an 8-5 win over the Padres.

3. Marte goes deep twice
April 5 vs. Red Sox

The D-backs' home opener was highlighted by Marte, who smacked a pair of home runs against the Red Sox. Marte started his day with a solo shot in the fourth against Rick Porcello, and he capped it with a grand slam in the sixth as the D-backs slugged their way to a 15-8 win.

4. Dyson robs Pederson
June 26 vs. Dodgers

Dyson can be a difference-maker on defense, and he showed how when he robbed Joc Pederson of a home run in the seventh inning of Arizona’s 8-2 win over the Dodgers at Chase Field.

5. Dyson walks off Rangers
April 9 vs. Rangers

With the D-backs trailing 4-2 in the ninth, they put two runners on with one out, and manager Torey Lovullo sent Dyson up to pinch-hit for . Dyson smacked a 2-2 pitch from José LeClerc for a three-run homer -- the first walk-off home run of his career -- to take the game, 5-4.

6. Greinke takes Kershaw deep
June 24 vs. Dodgers

It wasn’t what you would expect from a Greinke-Clayton Kershaw matchup, with each pitcher giving up three runs in the first inning. But the duel would be remembered more for what happened in the second inning when Greinke hit a solo homer to left off his former teammate. It was just the second time the pair had squared off against each other, and both left without a decision in an 8-5 Arizona win.

7. Marte provides the offense
Sept. 4 vs. Padres

8. Marte walks it off
May 9 vs. Braves

It certainly wasn’t one of the hardest balls that Marte hit in 2019 and it didn’t travel very far, but it got the job done. Marte fought off an inside pitch from A.J. Minter and blooped it just beyond the reach of second baseman Ozzie Albies as the D-backs walked off the Braves, 3-2.

9. Kelly's go-ahead homer
Aug. 19 vs. Rockies

wasn’t feeling particularly good at the plate heading into the game against the Rockies. Mired in an 0-for-16 slump, Kelly flied out in his first at-bat before finally snapping the skid with a single in the sixth. He saved his best for last, though, as he delivered the go-ahead homer in the eighth as the D-backs beat the Rockies, 5-3.

10. Ahmed keys six-run rally
