May 26th, 2016

Welcome to DraftKings fantasy baseball, the Official Daily Fantasy Game of Major League Baseball.
The players listed below could provide difference-making stats for DraftKings participants on Friday.
Jason Kipnis: From a premium lineup spot, the second baseman could set himself up to score multiple runs by reaching base often when he brings his lifetime .810 OPS against right-handers (.657 vs. lefties) into a matchup with Orioles righty Mike Wright (career 5.53 ERA, 1.47 WHIP). In his career, Wright has allowed left-handed batters such as Kipnis to post a .961 OPS (.729 OPS allowed to righty batters).
:: Fred Zinkie's Daily Picks ::
Derek Dietrich: With 21 homers across 594 career at-bats against right-handers, the second baseman could provide power at his premium position when he faces righty Williams Perez (career 4.58 ERA, 1.46 WHIP). Dietrich could also excel against a Braves bullpen that ranks 27th in the Majors with a 4.48 ERA.

Justin Bour: Since the outset of last season, the first baseman has ripped 32 round-trippers across 459 at-bats against right-handers. Bour could go deep or drive in multiple runs when he tangles with the right-handed Perez and an unreliable Braves relief corps.
Ryan Braun: With a lifetime .336/.404/.628 slash line against left-handers, the outfielder has proven to be among the best in baseball during those matchups. Braun could post a game-changing total in DraftKings contests when he bats at his offense-inducing home park against Reds southpaw John Lamb (career 5.68 ERA, 1.58 WHIP).
Jonathan Lucroy: The catcher could provide production from a premium position when he brings his lifetime .820 OPS against left-handers (.756 vs. righties) into a matchup at his hitter-friendly home park against the southpaw Lamb (career 4.51 FIP). Lucroy could also succeed against a Reds relief corps that ranks last in the Majors with a 6.49 ERA.
Adrian Beltre: Since joining the Rangers at the outset of 2011, the third baseman has posted a .314/.385/.538 slash line against left-handers and a .334/.384/.570 slash line at his hitter-friendly home park. Beltre could go deep or drive in multiple runs when he tangles with Pirates southpaw Jon Niese (4.75 ERA, 1.43 WHIP in 2016).

Elvis Andrus: With a lifetime .723 OPS against left-handers that exceeds his .666 mark vs. righties, Andrus has the plate skills to reach base often when he faces Niese (career 1.36 WHIP). The speedy shortstop could also swipe a base against Francisco Cervelli, who has allowed more steals than any other catcher since the outset of 2015.
Ian Desmond: Hitting .294 with six homers and nine steals across 196 plate appearances, the outfielder has bounced back from a disappointing 2015 season. Desmond could contribute in multiple ways when he brings his plus speed and lifetime .277/.330/.456 slash line against left-handers into a matchup with a likely battery of the southpaw Niese and Cervelli.
David Ortiz: In his legendary career, the slugger has posted an impressive .294/.397/.582 slash line against right-handers. Ortiz -- who is hitting .333 with 11 homers and 43 RBIs across 159 at-bats this season -- could have an outstanding game when he bats at hitter-friendly Rogers Centre against righty Aaron Sanchez. In his career, Sanchez has allowed left-handed hitters such as Ortiz to post a .766 OPS (.456 OPS allowed to righty batters)

Denard Span: Batting leadoff, the left-handed-hitting outfielder may maximize his opportunities to reach base and score runs at the expense of righty Tyler Chatwood (career 4.15 ERA, 1.51 WHIP) and a Rockies bullpen that ranks 23rd in the Majors with a 4.12 ERA. In his career, Span has registered a .759 OPS against right-handers that exceeds his .711 mark vs. lefties. Also of note: Span will attempt to put balls into play against a Rockies squad that ranks 28th in the Majors with a .675 defensive efficiency ratio
Carlos Gonzalez: In his career, Gonzalez has fared best when facing right-handers (.303/.367/.561 slash line) and when batting at his hitter-friendly home park (.329/.388/.617 slash line). The outfielder could put a ball into the outfield seats or drive in multiple runs when he hits at home against Giants righty Matt Cain (5.37 ERA, 1.46 WHIP in 2016).
Gerardo Parra: As a big leaguer, Parra has produced a .762 OPS against right-handers that exceeds his .613 mark vs. lefties. The outfielder could reach base often or score multiple runs when he tangles with the righty Cain (5.59 ERA, 1.48 WHIP since the outset of 2015).
Ian Kinsler: From his perch atop the lineup, Kinsler could post a difference-making total in DraftKings contests when he brings his lifetime .884 OPS against left-handers (.763 vs. righties) into a matchup with A's rookie lefty Sean Manaea (7.62 ERA, 1.50 WHIP). Hitting .306 with 10 homers and 40 runs across 198 plate appearances, the second baseman has been among the most productive players at his premium position this season.
Masahiro Tanaka: Having produced a lifetime 3.17 ERA and 1.03 WHIP, the right-hander has the skills to spin a gem when he vacates his hitter-friendly home park and works at offense-suppressing Tropicana Field against an Rays lineup that is tied for 19th in the Majors with a .712 OPS against righties.

Adam Conley: The left-hander could be a productive second starter in DraftKings contests when he brings his lifetime 3.92 ERA into a matchup at pitcher-friendly Turner Field against a Braves lineup that ranks last in the Majors in OPS against southpaws (.578) and total home runs (19).
Felix Hernandez: Set to work at his pitcher-friendly home park, the ace right-hander could deliver a stellar start when he brings his lifetime 3.09 ERA into a matchup with a Twins lineup that ranks 24th in the Majors with a .695 OPS against righties. Also of note: Minnesota ranks last in the American League with a 12-34 record.
Jacob deGrom: The right-hander will be primed to post a difference-making total in DraftKings contests when he brings his impressive lifetime 2.66 ERA and 1.07 WHIP into a home matchup against a Dodgers lineup that ranks 25th in the Majors with a .689 OPS against righties.
All statistics are accurate through the completion of Wednesday's games.
