MILWAUKEE -- For their brief but memorable stops in Milwaukee on the road to Cooperstown, CC Sabathia and the late Dave Parker will be honored at American Family Field on Friday with a place on the Brewers’ Wall of Honor.
The installation -- not to be confused with the Brewers’ Walk of Fame -- is intentionally inclusive, meant to spotlight the players, executives and broadcasters who either spent a long time in a Brewers uniform or shone brightly for a short time like Parker and Sabathia. Membership is based on a set of criteria that includes those who earn a spot in the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Parker and Sabathia were inducted last July.
First, they will be honored in Milwaukee with an on-field ceremony and a video presentation prior to the Brewers-Yankees game. Parker’s son, Dave Parker II, and Sabathia will throw ceremonial first pitches.
Parker, who passed away in 2025, was an American League All-Star during his lone season with the Brewers in 1990, and Sabathia did much of the heavy lifting to snap the Brewers’ 26-year postseason drought after a midseason trade to Milwaukee in 2008.
Tickets for Friday’s game and other Brewers home games are available at brewers.com/Tickets.
