Rays, Jennings reportedly avoid arbitration

January 15th, 2016

When healthy, Desmond Jennings provides a big boost to the Rays. But before taking the field for Spring Training, the 29-year-old outfielder and the club took care of business, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.
Jennings reportedly accepted a $3.3 million offer from the club to avoid arbitration. The deal was reached prior to Friday's 1 p.m. ET arbitration salary exchange deadline.
A left knee injury limited Jennings to just 28 games in 2015. In limited action, he batted .268 with one home run, seven RBIs and five stolen bases.
