Dodgers Acquire Jake Eder

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired left-handed pitcher Jake Eder from the Washington Nationals in exchange for cash considerations. In order to make room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers transferred right-handed pitcher Jake Cousins to the 60-day injured list.

Eder, 27, was designated for assignment on March 28 by the Nationals. He pitched for the Los Angeles Angels in 2025, making eight appearances, going 0-1 with a 4.91 ERA in 18.1 innings. He made his Major League debut on September 17, 2024 as a member of the Chicago White Sox, allowing one run in two innings. The former Vanderbilt Commodore was drafted in the fourth round of the 2020 First Year Player Draft by the Miami Marlins and has made 69 minor league starts, going 10-29 with a 5.39 ERA and 353 strikeouts in 307.1 innings.
