LA prospect Urias looking at Friday debut

March 8th, 2016

PHOENIX -- Left-handed pitcher Julio Urias is tentatively scheduled to make his Cactus League debut on Friday for the Dodgers.
The 19-year-old Urias, rated the Dodgers' top pitching prospect by MLB.com, was set back a few days with slight groin stiffness. But he pitched two innings of live batting practice on Monday and had no discomfort Tuesday morning.

Urias will have a light bullpen session on Wednesday and will probably pitch two innings in the club's game on Friday against the Angels at Camelback Ranch-Glendale.
Meanwhile, Cuban pitcher Yaisel Sierra threw two innings of live batting practice Tuesday and moved closer to making his Cactus League debut.
And Hyun-Jin Ryu, shut down for a week with shoulder discomfort, was able to play catch for the second consecutive day as he continues a slow recovery from last year's surgery to repair a torn labrum.
