Dodgers Recall Seth Halvorsen

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Seth Halvorsen and placed right-handed pitcher Roki Sasaki on the injured list with a blister on his right middle finger.

Halvorsen, 26, made his Dodger debut on August 11, tossing a scoreless inning against the Royals and recording the win in extra innings. Prior to joining the Dodgers, he appeared in 21 games for the Rockies this year, posting an 0-1 record with a 4.74 ERA. He made 76 Major League appearances for the Rockies (2024-26) and Dodgers (2026), and he is 4-4 with a 4.25 ERA and 66 strikeouts in 72.0 innings. He was drafted in the seventh round of the 2023 First Year Player Draft by the Rockies out of the University of Tennessee.

Sasaki, 24, exited the game in the fourth inning last night after allowing four runs in 3.1 innings against the Braves. In his second full season with the Dodgers, he is 5-5 with a 4.60 ERA, including a 2-0 record with a 3.05 ERA since the All-Star break. He has made 33 Major League appearances in his career, posting a 6-6 mark with a 4.57 ERA and 145 strikeouts in 155.2 innings. He joined the Dodgers as an international free agent on January 22, 2025 from Rikuzentakata, Japan.
