Lasorda, who turned 89 last month, is in his 67th season as a Dodgers employee, including 20 seasons as manager that put him in the Hall of Fame in 1997 and earned the retirement of his uniform No. 2.
Now a special advisor to chairman Mark Walter, Lasorda won two World Series at the helm in 1981 and 1988, but he moved to the front office in 1996 after suffering a heart attack.
