LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers outfielder said a stiff lower back that forced him from Friday night's 7-2 win over the Marlins won't put him on the 10-day disabled list.
"I not going on the disabled list," said Puig. "I need to get back on the field and hitting and go to Miami for the All-Star Game. I'm not going on the DL."
Puig said he felt his back begin to stiffen during batting practice. He grounded out sharply in the first inning and his back locked up while taking a big swing during a fourth-inning walk. He then scored on 's two-run homer.

"I feel better with the treatment and the stuff they do to me, I feel better," he said. "I might play tomorrow or the next day, Sunday."
Puig was replaced before the top of the fifth inning in the outfield, with Eibner moving from center field to right field and taking over in center.
