Baldwin reinstated off IL, set to return to action on Tuesday

ATLANTA -- will be back in the Braves’ lineup for Tuesday night’s series opener against the Giants at Truist Park.

Baldwin was activated from the 10-day injured list on Monday afternoon, just a couple hours after the first 2026 KONAMI eBaseball All-Star Ballot update showed him as the leader among National League catchers. The 2025 NL Rookie of the Year has been sidelined since straining his right oblique muscle on May 18.

The Braves outrighted to Triple-A Gwinnett to create a roster spot. Baldwin will resume his duties as Atlanta’s primary catcher, with serving as his backup.

Baldwin, who serves as the designated hitter when he’s not catching, has hit .303 with 13 homers and a .932 OPS. His return should be a big boost for the Braves, who have lost four of their last five games. Ronald Acuña Jr. suffered a hamstring strain during the first of those five games.
