The Rockies made two trades on Wednesday, acquiring infielder Edouard Julien and right-handed pitcher Pierson Ohl from the Twins in exchange for Minor League right-handed pitcher Jace Kaminska and cash considerations and sending right-handed reliever Angel Chivilli to the Yankees for first-base prospect T.J. Rumfield.
To make room on Colorado's 40-man roster, outfielder Yanquiel Fernández was designated for assignment.

Ohl, 26, holds a 0-3 record with a 5.10 ERA (30.0 IP, 17 ER) and 27 strikeouts across 14 games (three starts) in his one Major League season with the Twins in 2025 … across five Minor League seasons (2021-25), has a 24-24 record with a 3.61 ERA (394.0 IP, 158 ER), 373 strikeouts and 1.13 WHIP in 90 appearances (60 starts) … named a Texas League Post-Season All-Star in 2023 and 2025 … the Moorpark, Calif. native was originally selected by Minnesota in the 14th round of the 2021 First-Year Player Draft out of Grand Canyon University.
