Evan Longoria, who missed the last three weeks due to a strained plantar fascia in his left foot, was activated off the injured list on Sunday. The Giants optioned infielder Zach Green to Triple-A Sacramento to make room for Longoria.

Prior to the injury, Longoria was hitting .400 (12-for-30) with six home runs in nine July games.
