DENVER – First, put an end to the Rockies’ 0-for-13 performance with runners in scoring position with a towering, three-run, game-tying home run with one out in the ninth. After wishing it fair, Goodman emphatically flipped his bat, then sprinted the bases.

But, it took a little more to end nearly three weeks of misery. That came in the form of ’s second homer of the game for an 8-6 victory over the Giants at Coors Field.

The win came in the first game after a much needed day off. The Rockies had played in each of the previous 16 days, and won on just four of them.

The ninth-inning homers – Goodman’s 13th and Tovar’s fourth, with the second being the first walk-off of his career – came off the Giants’ Caleb Kilian.
