April 22nd, 2017

DENVER -- Despite the sobering news about 's trip to the disabled list, Bruce Bochy felt relieved to resume his managerial duties Friday.
Bochy, 62, underwent a minor heart procedure Monday to repair an ablation to alleviate discomfort he was experiencing due to an atrial flutter. He rested at his San Diego home during the Giants' two-game Interleague series at Kansas City.
"I had one last year, as you know," Bochy said. "When they start happening a little bit more frequently, then it's time to probably get something done, and that was the case with me."
Bochy's history of heart trouble aroused concern, but the former big league catcher who still relishes robust workouts insisted he's fine.
"I feel great," Bochy said. "I'm ready to roll."
• Catcher (right ankle) was reinstated from the disabled list after completing his Minor League injury rehabilitation assignment and was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento.
