Bumgarner 'letting it go' in latest 'pen session

SAN FRANCISCO -- Giants left-hander continued progressing toward pitching a simulated game later this week as he flung 30 pitches off a bullpen mound Sunday.
Bumgarner increased his pitch count by 10 from Friday's bullpen session, which represented his first work off a mound since he put himself on the disabled list by sustaining multiple injuries in an April 20 dirt-bike accident.
Giants manager Bruce Bochy liked what he saw of Bumgarner, who threw all fastballs.
"At one point, he was letting it go," Bochy said.
Bumgarner is expected to throw one more bullpen session before pitching his simulated game sometime during San Francisco's June 15-18 series at Colorado. The four-time All-Star also is tentatively slated to make five Minor League injury rehabilitation starts before rejoining the rotation, possibly by mid-July.
