The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the 2016 Major League roster:
Clevinger, 25, has spent the entire season to date with Triple-A Columbus, posting a record of 5-0 with a 3.03 ERA in 7 starts (35.2IP, 28H, 12ER, 17BB, 36SO, .219 avg). He has won his last four starts, posting a 2.11 ERA (21.1IP, 17H, 5ER, 20SO) since April 25. He currently leads the International League in wins (5) and is tied for 10th in strikeouts (36). He will be making his Major League debut tonight in a starting assignment in Cincinnati's Great American Ballpark. Clevinger was named Cleveland's Pitcher of the Year in 2015 after being acquired in August 2014 from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for RHP Vinnie Pestano. He entered 2016 as the organization's 7th-ranked prospect according to Baseball America.
