Well, this is just getting ridiculous.

For the fifth time this season, less than 24 hours after Kumar Rocker absolutely dominates on the hill, Jack Leiter gets the ball and doubles down for the Commodores -- making history on Saturday.

MLB Pipeline's No. 6 overall Draft prospect tossed a no-hitter while punching out 16 of the 28 batters he faced -- all on fastballs -- to pace Vanderbilt's 5-0 blanking of South Carolina. The right-hander's only blemish came on the first batter of the game, a 3-2 walk.

Leiter retired the final 27 batters he faced, striking out the side in the second on 15 pitches while whiffing at least a pair in seven of his nine frames. The 20-year-old threw 81 of his 124 pitches for strikes and watched his ERA on the season shrink to 0.24.

Leiter's father, Al, threw a no-hitter for the Marlins against the Rockies in 1996.

It's the first no-hitter for Vanderbilt since June 8, 2019, when -- no surprise here -- Rocker twirled one for the Commodores against Duke.
