Dyson makes Mays-like catch in season finale

October 2nd, 2016

KANSAS CITY -- Royals center fielder may have saved his best for last.
In the Royals' final game of the season, a 3-2 loss to the Indians on Sunday, Dyson made an incredible catch, robbing Indians shortstop of extra bases.
Lindor led off the sixth with a deep drive near the center-field wall at Kauffman Stadium. Dyson raced toward the wall with his back to the infield.
Then, as Dyson caught up to the ball, he decided not to turn around and catch it in a conventional manner, facing the infield. He stopped and caught it almost behind his head as many of the players looked on, stunned.
