CHICAGO -- Cubs second baseman , who hit a three-run homer in the third inning, exited Monday's 14-2 win at Wrigley Field with tightness in his right groin. He will be re-evaluated on Tuesday.
Baez got twisted making a play on 's grounder to open the Marlins' seventh. then doubled to left, a play that Baez wasn't involved in. But Cubs athletic trainer Nick Frangella and manager Joe Maddon went out to check on Baez, and the infielder then left the game.
"When I went out there, he didn't say specifically where, he just said it was tight," Maddon said. "There was no sense to leave him in the game right there. ... I don't think [the injury] is anything awful."

Baez's 10th homer of the season raised his National League-leading RBI total to 32. He has gone deep in three consecutive games.
