Werth now owns sole possession of second place for the Nationals/Expos franchise record, trailing only Rusty Staub (46).
Werth also hit a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning.
Werth's streak is the longest in the Majors this season and the longest since the Reds' Joey Votto reached base in 48 consecutive games last season.
