Segura joins Mariners FanFest lineup

All-Star infielder among newcomers slated to appear next weekend at Safeco Field

SEATTLE -- Seven newcomers -- including standout shortstop -- are among the 10 players committed to appear at next weekend's Mariners FanFest at Safeco Field, as the team begins introductions for the 2017 season.
Segura, a former National League All-Star acquired in a five-player trade that sent to the D-backs in November, is a late commitment to the 19th annual event, which will take place next Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. PT.

Outfielders and Mitch Haniger, first baseman/outfielder Danny Valencia and starting pitchers Drew Smyly and -- all acquired by trade this winter by general manager Jerry Dipoto -- will also be among the participants at the two-day gathering. Also taking part is lefty reliever , the team's biggest free-agent addition.
That group of newcomers will be joined by three key returners -- starting pitcher , center fielder and hard-throwing reliever -- as well as Dipoto and manager Scott Servais.
Also scheduled to appear are former Mariners standouts Edgar Martinez, Dan Wilson, Jay Buhner and Dave Valle, plus top prospects Kyle Lewis, Tyler O'Neill, Andrew Moore and Nick Neidert.
Tickets are $10 for adults, with kids 14 and under admitted for free. Tickets may be purchased in advance at Mariners.com/FanFest or at Mariners team stores, as well as at the Safeco ticket windows during the event. Parking at the Safeco Field garage is $10.
There will also be an exclusive session for season-ticket holders from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday.
Players will sign autographs and take part in Dugout Dialogue Q&A sessions with fans, who can also take part in tours of the team's clubhouse, run around the bases, throw a pitch in the bullpen, play catch in the outfield, ride a 200-foot zip line over the outfield or take part in numerous other activities.
All the Dugout Dialogue sessions with players, coaches and front-office members will be streamed live on Mariners.com.
