PHOENIX -- During his foray into social media this season, Reds first baseman Joey Votto has shown himself to be game for just about anything fun. On Monday before his team opened against the D-backs, Votto had a new collaborator for a TikTok post.
A young girl held a sign near the Reds dugout that read, "Joey Votto, will you make a TikTok with me?"
First, Votto and the 12-year-old girl from Phoenix choreographed a routine. Then they did their dance -- "The Griddy" --while her brother shot the video with his phone.
Since joining TikTok in the spring, Votto has already had several of his posts go viral and get millions of views.
No doubt, Monday's effort will be the latest.
