ATLANTA -- Josh Donaldson is known as the Bringer of Rain, and now he has a home run celebration to go with the nickname.
After Donaldson's 33rd home run of the season during the Braves' 11-5 victory over the White Sox on Saturday night at SunTrust Park, Mike Foltynewicz handed the third baseman an umbrella as he returned to the dugout. Donaldson held the umbrella as he continued his home run trot in the dugout to the delight of his teammates.
“I’m not this creative, trust me,” Donaldson said during his on-field interview with Fox Sports South. “So I’ve got to give credit to the team. Folty, Luke Jackson and a bunch of guys started coming up with it. I’m just here to play and hopefully hit some more homers.”

Donaldson should have a few more opportunities to enjoy this new celebration. His 24 homers dating back to June 14 ties him with Cincinnati’s Eugenio Suárez for the most tallied by a National League player in that span. Mike Trout has an MLB-best 25 homers going back to that date.
“Honestly, I think we’re just going out there and having fun,” Donaldson said.
