Fields recalled as Dodgers go with 8 in 'pen

SAN DIEGO -- The Dodgers went back to an eight-man bullpen on Saturday by recalling right-handed reliever Josh Fields from Triple-A Oklahoma City and optioning utility man .
Fields, an effective workhorse in April and May, was sent down two weeks ago after giving up home runs in consecutive appearances. He was replaced by , who came off the disabled list.
Freeman was called up last week to replace the ailing on the bench.

Manager Dave Roberts said won't return from his back injury until sometime after the All-Star break because he continues to feel stiffness and discomfort. Roberts said Gonzalez still has not resumed baseball activities.
