Harrison tests hamstring; DL stint a possibility

Injured infielder strained muscle in Sunday's contest

CINCINNATI -- Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said Josh Harrison worked out on the field Thursday night to test the left hamstring he strained in Sunday's win over Milwaukee.
Harrison ran sprints in the outfield before Friday's game, but did not start. The Pirates did not release their lineup until just under an hour before the game as Hurdle said they were contemplating what to do with Harrison and whether they wanted to carry an extra pitcher on the six-game road trip to begin the second half. Ultimately, Anderson was optioned after being recalled on Sunday.
Harrison is hitting .249 with four home runs and 23 RBIs in 61 games. The second baseman missed roughly a month of the season with a fractured fifth metacarpal in his left hand after being hit by a pitch against Miami on April 15.
