The World Series hasn’t even started yet, but Junior Caminero is already doing damage.
The Rays slugger hit a batting-practice home run Thursday that knocked out part of the center-field videoboard at American Family Field in Milwaukee, the site of Game 1 of the World Series on Friday (8 p.m. ET on FOX/FOX One).
Caminero is fresh off a memorable performance in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series against the Guardians on Monday, putting an exclamation point on Tampa Bay's pennant-clinching victory with a laser off the left-field foul pole -- followed by one of the longest home run trots you'll ever see -- in the bottom of the seventh inning.
If Thursday’s BP session is any indication, the 22-year-old is ready to leave his mark on the Fall Classic as well.
