PHOENIX -- The Diamondbacks salvaged a split of their four-game set with the Dodgers in dramatic fashion, as Ketel Marte’s one-out homer in the bottom of the ninth led to a 3-2 walk-off win at Chase Field on Thursday.
The game was a pitchers' duel for much of the night, with the Dodgers grabbing a 2-0 lead in the fifth on back-to-back RBI hits from Ryan Ward and Dalton Rushing.
It stayed that way until the eighth, when Dodgers reliever Will Klein allowed a leadoff homer to Corbin Carroll before issuing a walk to Gabriel Moreno.
A strikeout and single later, Alex Vesia came in, and after he got a flyout for the second out of the inning, Geraldo Perdomo tied things up with an RBI single to center.
