Kinley Rasmus is making a name for herself at the 2026 Little League World Series.
Starring as a two-way player for Phenix City, Alabama, Rasmus has excelled on both sides of the ball but especially so as a pitcher. On Monday, Rasmus helped lead Alabama to a win over West Chester, Pennsylvania, advancing her club to the next stage. Rasmus struck out six batters in her outing, bringing her tournament total to 14 strikeouts and tying Mo’ne Davis for most K’s by a girl in Little League World Series history.
Rasmus, the daughter of former MLB pitcher Cory Rasmus and niece of former outfielder Colby Rasmus, has had some huge moments in this tournament. In her previous outing on the mound last Wednesday, Rasmus tossed six scoreless innings and struck out eight batters, also tied with Davis for the most by a girl in a single game at the tournament. And in an elimination game against Bonita, California, last Saturday, Rasmus went 2-for-2 with a walk and an RBI triple.
