Kyle Schwarber and Kris Bryant were teammates with the Chicago Cubs from 2015-20. They hit home runs together, they won division crowns together, they won a historic World Series in 2016 together. Look at these two. They're like brothers.
Alas, during the offseason, Schwarber moved on to join the Nationals. But on Monday night, the Nats came to town to face off against the Cubs -- with another former Cub, Washington's Jon Lester, on the mound. Chicago won, 7-3, but Bryant didn't let the night pass without leaving a sweet gift for Schwarber ... in the outfield.
It's like Christmas morning. The candy was apparently a Twix. As you can see in the video, Schwarber quickly ate it and, a bit later in the game, he did this:
Schwarber told reporters it might be his new pregame meal. We absolutely approve.
Kris Bryant left Schwarber a @twix out in left field. Schwarber then homered. Said it "calmed my nerves."
