December 11th, 2017

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Looking for the perfect Christmas gift for the ultimate Mariners fan in your family?
How about the chance to be on the Mariners grounds crew for a game at Safeco Field? Or watch batting practice before a game with manager Scott Servais? Or spend an inning in the broadcast booth with Rick Rizzs and the gang?
Those are some of the dozens of items from the 30 Major League teams available this week in the sixth annual online charity auction during the Winter Meetings. The event has raised more than $900,000 since its inception to aid various cancer causes.
This year's auction supports the Katherine Feeney Memorial Scholarship Fund in memory of one of baseball's female pioneering executives. Feeney died in April after more than 40 years with MLB, and the fund will support an annual scholarship to a female student in the sports management program at the University of San Francisco who exemplifies Feeney's spirit and character.
