MIAMI -- Giancarlo Stanton and Dee Gordon became the first pair of teammates in Major League history to notch 50 home runs and 60 stolen bases in a season, respectively, on Saturday night.
Stanton clobbered his 50th homer long ago, but Gordon entered Saturday's 10-2 win over the Braves at Marlins Park with 58 steals. He swiped his 59th bag off Lucas Sims in the second inning before stealing his MLB-leading 60th off Luke Jackson in the third.
While the 60 stolen bases are a nice touch to Gordon's historic season, his focus has already shifted to rooting on Stanton in his chase for 60 homers with just one game to go.
"I know he's gonna get it. I'm pretty sure," Gordon said. "That's my brother. I want it more than him. It's just a true testament to how healthy he's been for us. He's not had a problem all year. He's played hard for us every day, all nine innings."

Gordon, who enters Sunday one steal ahead of Cincinnati's Billy Hamilton, seeks his third stolen base crown. He won it in back-to-back years in 2014 (64) and '15 (58).
Another one wouldn't mean much to the second baseman, though.
"Honestly, no," Gordon said, "because I set some goals and I achieved them. And now it's just to keep playing for the boys. That was my goal to make sure I was healthy."
Gordon wasn't done reaching milestones. His fifth-inning single pushed his season hit total to 200, marking the second time in his career he has reached that mark.

Marlins manager Don Mattingly, who notched the 200-hit mark three times in his career, took time to appreciate that number following Gordon's 3-for-4 night.
"The 200 is obviously an accomplishment for a player, and a big one," Mattingly said. "It's hard to get there. It's not easy to get to 200. You've gotta be consistent. You've gotta play through the whole season. You've got to stay healthy. A lot of things. So that's a nice accomplishment."

The 29-year-old speedster also became the first Major Leaguer with 200 hits and 60 stolen bases in a season since Juan Pierre tallied 204 hits and a franchise-record 65 stolen bases in 2003 with the Marlins. They're the only two to accomplish the feat in the last 20 years.
"It's a good feeling. There aren't many true leadoff hitters anymore," Gordon said, mentioning Charlie Blackmon and George Springer. "For me to be able to do it with guys who aren't prototypical leadoff guys and continue to do that 40-50 years later when the game's going in a different direction means a lot."
