Mets acquire RHP Jacob Rhame from the Dodgers

The New York Mets announced today that they have acquired RHP Jacob Rhame from the Los Angeles Dodgers as the player to be named later to complete the August 18 trade involving Curtis Granderson. Rhame will be assigned to Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League.

The New York Mets announced today that they have acquired RHP Jacob Rhame from the Los Angeles Dodgers as the player to be named later to complete the August 18 trade involving Curtis Granderson. Rhame will be assigned to Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League.
 
Rhame, 24, was 0-2 with two saves, a 4.31 ERA (23 earned runs/48.0 innings) and 55 strikeouts in 41 games in relief for Oklahoma City (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League this year. He allowed 52 hits and issued 10 walks.
 
The 6-1, 215-pounder was the Dodgers sixth-round pick in the 2013 First-Year Player Draft from Grayson Community College (TX).
 
Last year, Rhame went 1-7 with seven saves, a 3.29 ERA (23 earned runs/63.0 innings) and 70 strikeouts in 54 games with Oklahoma City.
 
He has racked up 306 strikeouts in 255.0 career minor league innings, going 10-18 with 29 saves and a 3.11 ERA in 210 games.
