Mets-Pirates opener postponed; split DH on Wednesday

PITTSBURGH -- Monday's game between the Pirates and the Mets has been postponed.

The teams will play a split doubleheader on Wednesday. The first game will begin at 12:35 p.m. ET. The second game will begin at 6:35 p.m.

Tickets for Monday's game are valid for the 12:35 p.m. game on Wednesday. Fans can also exchange their tickets for any future 2022 game, but this must be done prior to the 12:35 p.m. game on Wednesday.

Mitch Keller, who was originally scheduled to start on Monday, will now start on Tuesday against Taijuan Walker. 

and , who was originally scheduled to start on Tuesday, will start on Wednesday, while Jacob deGrom and Chris Bassitt will go for the Mets. Both clubs have yet to determine who will start the 12:35 p.m. game and who will go in the 6:35 p.m. game.

This is the first time a game has been postponed at PNC Park this season. Wednesday's doubleheader will be the Pirates' sixth this season.
